Festive and Fun

As much as I do love Christmas, it is hard to move in any room when Christmas takes over, especially when you’re a crafter.

I have made this fun exploding box card with added pop up pieces entwined. First the lid of the box, as a ‘pull’ tab which allows the adorable Gingerbread Woman to stand up, she can be found here, https://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/baked-with-love-gingerbread-sweetie-digital-craft-download/

Next when you take the lid off the box, the sides fall down and the exploding box shows its full design. Each layer has been mat and layered with card stock and papers from the lovely range, available here https://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/printable-papers-3-winnie-white-christmas-digi-downloads/

Then Winnie has been popped into the middle to appear standing which has been done using acetate, she can be found here, https://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/advent-calendar-winnie-angel-digital-stamp-download/

Finally I have added embellishments, such as the little tags and pictures on the sides, which are from, https://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/baked-with-love-design-sheets-digital-craft-paper-download/

I know it will have been a weird and hard Christmas this one, but I do hope all is well. xo

Gingerbread man Love

I adore Gingerbread, so when I saw this lovely Gingerbread man Digi Stamp I knew I had to use it.

I wanted to create a simple background so the stamp would take centre stage, so I cut strips of Red Glitter Card and glued them diagonally across the background and added some red and white twine with a bow and a sparkly button.

The stamp has been coloured in with alcohol markers and added onto the card with foam pads to add dimension.

Love the simple look of this Slimline card. 🙂 xo

Twiggy The Owl

I love doing cards and different creations that are a little bit different and fun to make and to display.

So when I saw this very cute digi stamp, from www.polkadoodles.co.uk/bauble-wishes-twiggy-toots-digital-craft-stamp-download/ I knew I wanted to do a swinging element in the card.

I’ve made a 3d card, from 5×7″ card blanks which some have been matted with Kraft card and the rest using papers from www.polkadoodles.co.uk/printable-papers-2-winnie-white-christmas-digi-downloads/

To make the 3d swinging element, I used 5×7″ card blanks again, with a die cut rectangle in the centres, with a red glitter frame border. The tags available here www.polkadoodles.co.uk/winnie-winterland-tags-frames-digital-craft-papers-download/ and the beautiful Twiggy digi stamp have then been suspended using thread/twine to the top of the window piece.

I have also made little baubles, with Red glitter card circles to add an extra festive element.

I wanted to keep the front of the card quite simple, as it was the inside is where the fun its.

I hope you all agree 🙂 xo

Christmas Gifts

Gift giving is just such a wonderful way of showing you care. I adore giving people gifts, especially if they are homemade, as it adds a personal touch. I’ve already decided who this would be perfect for. I used the most lovely image here at https://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/winnie-winterland-cosy-christmas-digital-craft-stamp-download/  and backing papers and tag from https://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/printable-papers-2-winnie-white-christmas-digi-downloads/ and https://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/winnie-winterland-tags-frames-digital-craft-papers-download/

I made the box using red card stock and added a window in the front so you can see the gift, the candle is an LED candle so you don’t have to worry about it being on.

Hope you like it xo.

Cute Christmas

I do adore Christmas crafting, and in this strange time we all live in at the moment we all have to try and do more to make us smile and relax.

This is a diamond easel fold card that has been made with heavy weight white card. This has been matted with papers from https://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/printable-papers-3-winnie-white-christmas-digi-downloads/ and some red glitter card.

The main image on the diamond is the lovely, sweet and utterly adorable https://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/winnie-winterland-polar-friends-digital-craft-stamp-download/

I have added some Glossy accents, onto the tree and hat to make it shine.

Finally I’ve added a rosette with a glitter button and a ribbon bow.

Hope you all are staying safe. xo

Hidden Surprise

Well this weeks Polkadoodles Challenge was a fun one, well to be honest they all are. It was to add a pocket or envelope for a hidden surprise.

I had a plan, to keep it a simple card on the front and then the hidden surprise would be on the inside. 🙂

I started making a simple gatefold card and matting the left flap with kraft card and then papers from https://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/printable-papers-1-winnie-white-christmas-digi-downloads/

I also wanted to add my main image on the front, and I chose the adorable Winnie stamp and coloured her in with my colouring pencils adding shading where needed. She is available here www.polkadoodles.co.uk/snowy-footprints-digital-stamp-download-winnie-white-christmas-printables/

Now is the fun part, I wanted the little pocket to be a mini envelope perfect size for a gift card. I also added some fun images from polkadoodles to look like they were popping out of the envelope.

I added matt and layers using the same paper collection and kraft card to the inside and popped my little envelope on the bottom right corner.

Finally I added a little sparkle with some fun pom pom trim on the left hand flap and Voilà.

Hope you like it. xo

Halloween

I haven’t been brought up to go trick or treating but I have recently become fascinated by Halloween and the history behind it.

I love horror films and ones that mess with your head trying to work out what is going on. I love reading thrillers like Stephen King, so creating a spooky card (with added sparkle) is right up my street, even though I do think cute halloween is more fun to do.

This is my next Polkadoodles make and it’s a shaker card, which I think are one of my favourite cards to make.

I started by creating a pumpkin shape card with orange card stock and the some of the papers from Halloween Trick or Treat printable download papers 3.

Then I added the digi stamp which is Winnie Wednesday Trick or Treat.

I wanted to add the shaker element to the front, to blend in with the card background, so its cut from the same orange card stock and backing papers. Then filled with fun sequins. The sentiment is Quotes – Winnie Special Moments, which is my go to set for sentiments.

Hope you like it and are all staying safe. xo

Roarsome!!!

Making cards for males, can be a problem. Not sure why but I think its just one of those things. My go to for male cards, is Dinosaurs. I think they look so cool and we all love them really.

I wanted to make a star shaped card and use the Polkadoodles Little Dudes Digi stamp, and then I discovered this bargain, which has the sentiments and papers included. This is the link: https://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/dino-mite-little-dude-little-dudes-digi-stamp-printable-download/

I cut my star shape from kraft card, and then matted the backing papers (which are some of the coolest papers I have ever seen) I outlined them with brown shading to make them stand out. I then added on the Little Dudes Dino-mite image, that Ive coloured in with my pencils. Ive used foam pads to attach this to give it some dimension. Finally I added a sentiment onto the bottom right to finish off the card 🙂

Hope you like. xo

Simple Christmas Card

Sometimes simple and plain can be best. I finally got a hold of some Lawn Fawn Stamps that I have been after for a while on a Facebook Craft Destash Group. They are the Oh Snap and Home for the Holidays stamp sets.

I wanted something to show off how cute these stamps are so I wanted a plain card blank for them to be stamped on and then coloured in.

I stamped them and coloured them in with my ProMarkers.

Simple but Lovely. xo

Cant find the Holidays stamp set (without it been more expensive than a horse)

CAS (Clean and Simple)

Everyone who knows me, knows I love swimming and water in general. I am definitely a water baby. So when the theme for this weeks Polkadoodles theme was make a splash, it was perfect for me.

I decided to use the Meribelle Stamp, that can be found at… www.polkadoodles.co.uk/meribelle-housework-digital-craft-stamp-download

I wanted to make the image, the main focal point of the card, so after i coloured it in with my brush markers I added it onto a piece of blue card stock and added to a white card blank.

This stamp is truly beautiful and it doesn’t need much to make an impact, but I wanted to just pop on a simple sentiment so I went with one from… www.polkadoodles.co.uk/quotes-winnie-special-moments-craft-digi-download/

Hope you like it 🙂 xo
