Polka Doodles Fairy Penny Slider

We all love faires!!! I made this card, and in co-operated a Penny Slider element, which I have not made in a while and to be honest I have no idea why I have not made them all the time.

I made this card using the Serenity Fairy Digi Stamp from Polkadoodles, coloured in with my Arteza Colouring Pencils and fussy cut it to make this cutter topper.

I also mat and layered this card with Polkadoodles papers, and made a rosette up to add to the top corner.

The Penny Slider element, has been made using nesting star dies and a couple of pennies J The star shape, I thought gave the card an extra special touch, or shall I say Fairy Dust. The topper, which is the cake that is the part that slides around the star, which was fussy cut and attached.

I added a cute sentiment and that finished the card off lovely.

Harry Potter Themed Card

This is something a little different for me, as there was no colouring, no stamping…

But yes I managed to squeeze in some die cutting of circles and some mats and layers.

I do a Birthday card every year for a friends child and this year it was Harry Potter that was requested by his Grandma. He is 11 now and I wanted something a little different, so since I am not a big HP fan I had a quick google and decided on this abstract version of a card.

I simply cut out a hair line style from black card and added it to a white piece of card, I then cut out a lighting shape from gold mirri to act as his scar (that at least I knew about him without looking…).

I then added some circle die cuts in black card and made glasses out of them, with the infamous plaster holding them together, I made it out of a distressed piece of card, that I inked with Momento ink, cant remember the name.

Last but not least, I added a scarf with the HP colours and a quick Happy Birthday sentiment and an age badge ๐Ÿ™‚

Very different for me but I enjoyed it ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope they like it when they receive it ๐Ÿ™‚ x

Hippo Love

When I saw this Digi-Stamp, I fell in love and it was very tough to not buy the entire range and to be fair every time I go onto the Polka Doodles site, I struggle to not buy every item going. I took advantage of the 35% off code I was emailed and I bought a couple of Digi-Stamps.

Heidi the Hippo, has to be one of the sweetest things I have seen, and I have a sweet tooth lol. I printed them out and immediately started colouring. This one has been coloured in with my Chameleon Pens and cut out using a stitched nesting die and added onto a 5.5×5.5″ card blank I made using a yellow/cream piece of 270gsm card stock and added some gold mirri and floral papers for some added cuteness. I also added onto some riff raff behind Heidi and finished it off with some small pearl gems and a ‘hello’ sentiment I made with my We are Memory Keepers Punch Board.

Hope you like it and are staying safe. xx

Polkadoodles Digi Hero

I have had this card made for a while and now the recipient has recieved it, I can upload it here.

I got the Digi-stamp for free from Polkadoodles, which is fab!!! The Winnie Collection is free at the moment, which is a lovely thing form them to do as we all want to be able to Thank our real life heroes, especially in this current climate.

I wanted to make the card simple and such to put a smile on their face, its a small ray of positive in these times.

I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it. xx

Simply Made Backpack…

I was lucky enough to win a selection of prizes from Craft stash’s 5th Birthday card competition, where I entered a card covered in coloured Jelly Babies and Lollypops, photos of it are in the Sweet Treats post.

In these prizes, was something I had had my eye on for a while now and I was so grateful to get in as a prize. It was the Simply Made Crafts by Helen Griffin Backpack Gift Bag Die Set.

It is a collection of dies that form a Gift Bag/Box. I adore making these style of bags and having them to make a display or giving them away to friends and family. People who loved bags, adore these as they look so real. So when I saw these dies, I instantly turned on my Cut ‘n’ Boss and got to work.

I wanted to go with a Tropical theme, as I just had picked up the Papercrafter Magazine, which issue 148, had a free gift of stamps, embossing folder and papers. I love anything Tropical and I love Backpacks, so it felt right to put these together.

The Simply Made die sets, come with clear instructions so it was simple and straightforward to put together once I had die cut the pieces.

I embossed the panel on the front from yellow card, and coloured it with my Distress Oxide Inks, I used Carved Pumpkin, Cracked Pistachio and Picked Raspberry.

I love this bag and the die set is purely and simply magical.

Hope you are all well and staying safe.

xx

Mer-mazing

Hope you are all well.

I am having fun trying new card designs out whilst waiting for bread to prove…(yes a new hobby, since I have been able to find flour and yeast again, telling you its gold dust!)

This is a mermaid themed card Ive made following the Positively Papercraft Fun Fold card. Ive used gold mirri with striped and spotty papers that I got in the Crafters Companion Magazine (latest one I think)

The stamps are from Jojos DreamLand, that I picked up in the sale from The Range. The sentiment is from Trimcrafts Mermaid Die set.

Hope you like xo

Yes… Another Circus Card!

I have recently come across Positively Papercraft and I have watched the Stage/Theatre Card Fold that she has filmed. I decided it would go along with my new Craft Consortium Circus collection.

I changed up the sizes a little and made it a 5×7″ and added lots of textures and embellishments. I love how when you open the card, it looks like you are opening the doors/curtain to the circus tent.

It definitely wont be my only make like this one ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope you are all staying safe xo

Sweet Treat Card

This card was such a lovely lovely card to make, and it turned from a pop up box card to a very long labour of love.

I wanted to make a shop front and I decided that a shop window as the front of the card, and then a thought popped up as a window but with a shaker element and then making the whole card to look like a shop, so after the window shaker was formed, I added flowers, pin stripe walls, a canopy and sign.

Then it was time to colour, and i have to stay I stamped so many images and then realised after I had coloured that I had definitely stamped too many, but at least I have a lot to make another card now. I added on my stamped images to appear to be coming out of the shop/card and just to add more sparkle, I decided glossy accents were very much needed. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope you like ๐Ÿ™‚ xo

Big Top Circus

Yes… I have become addicted to the Craft Consortium Circus range. As soon as I preordered this range I had making a Big Top style card or piece of home decor.

I then decided it would be wonderful as a card/decor piece lol, best of both worlds. I have made this off the back of Sams (Mixed up Craft) teepee style card. I added extra squares/folds and the base of the tent was formed.

I then went very over the top and added pretty much every stamp on to it. I adore colouring in and decided it was a good way to spend a couple of hours watching tv and colouring. DREAM DAY!!!

I ended up with this and topped it off with a little flag as it just finishes off nicely.

Hope you like it xo

Craft Consortium Circus

Well, they have done it again. Every time they release a range I state its my favourite, then they release another and its then my next favourite. I will clear my desk and all other ongoing projects or plans for my day (not much other than crime boxsets and snacking in this current climate) and I will spend all day looking at the range and deciding what I can do.

I treated myself to the complete bundle as there was a discount code a while back and I got both the 12×12″ and 6×6″ paper pad, all 3 stamp sets, 3 washi tapes, metal charms, the stick on stars and the wooden shapes. I am in love, its safe to say.

This definitely wont be my last card or blog post on this range. Even though I don’t agree with the animals that are used or used to be used in the circus industry these stamp versions are just positively beautiful and the whole range has a ‘Greatest Showman’ vibe to it and that in itself is a good good good thing.

This card is a diorama card, that I made using the measurements by Sam at Mixed Up Craft, where a diorama piece is added onto the front of a standard card. I just knew this card designed screamed to be made into a ‘Big Top’ style card and et voila…

Hope you like them xx
