Yes… Another Circus Card!

I have recently come across Positively Papercraft and I have watched the Stage/Theatre Card Fold that she has filmed. I decided it would go along with my new Craft Consortium Circus collection.

I changed up the sizes a little and made it a 5×7″ and added lots of textures and embellishments. I love how when you open the card, it looks like you are opening the doors/curtain to the circus tent.

It definitely wont be my only make like this one πŸ™‚

Hope you are all staying safe xo

Sweet Treat Card

This card was such a lovely lovely card to make, and it turned from a pop up box card to a very long labour of love.

I wanted to make a shop front and I decided that a shop window as the front of the card, and then a thought popped up as a window but with a shaker element and then making the whole card to look like a shop, so after the window shaker was formed, I added flowers, pin stripe walls, a canopy and sign.

Then it was time to colour, and i have to stay I stamped so many images and then realised after I had coloured that I had definitely stamped too many, but at least I have a lot to make another card now. I added on my stamped images to appear to be coming out of the shop/card and just to add more sparkle, I decided glossy accents were very much needed. πŸ™‚

Hope you like πŸ™‚ xo

Big Top Circus

Yes… I have become addicted to the Craft Consortium Circus range. As soon as I preordered this range I had making a Big Top style card or piece of home decor.

I then decided it would be wonderful as a card/decor piece lol, best of both worlds. I have made this off the back of Sams (Mixed up Craft) teepee style card. I added extra squares/folds and the base of the tent was formed.

I then went very over the top and added pretty much every stamp on to it. I adore colouring in and decided it was a good way to spend a couple of hours watching tv and colouring. DREAM DAY!!!

I ended up with this and topped it off with a little flag as it just finishes off nicely.

Hope you like it xo

Craft Consortium Circus

Well, they have done it again. Every time they release a range I state its my favourite, then they release another and its then my next favourite. I will clear my desk and all other ongoing projects or plans for my day (not much other than crime boxsets and snacking in this current climate) and I will spend all day looking at the range and deciding what I can do.

I treated myself to the complete bundle as there was a discount code a while back and I got both the 12×12″ and 6×6″ paper pad, all 3 stamp sets, 3 washi tapes, metal charms, the stick on stars and the wooden shapes. I am in love, its safe to say.

This definitely wont be my last card or blog post on this range. Even though I don’t agree with the animals that are used or used to be used in the circus industry these stamp versions are just positively beautiful and the whole range has a ‘Greatest Showman’ vibe to it and that in itself is a good good good thing.

This card is a diorama card, that I made using the measurements by Sam at Mixed Up Craft, where a diorama piece is added onto the front of a standard card. I just knew this card designed screamed to be made into a ‘Big Top’ style card and et voila…

Hope you like them xx

Satchel Bag

Hi,

After watching many and many hours of Sams, Mixed up Craft videos and many further hours making the cards, bags and home decor I decided to post a blog about one thing Ive made. For once actually quite proud of.

One of her most recent posts, was of a Satchel Bag, she has does some other tutorials about making these style of bags and I myself have took the plunge and started playing around with different styles and measurements to adapt them to exactly what I wanted.

I sat down and got out a new 12×12 pad which I got recently and decided to make it and see what I could remember from the tutorial. Luckily for me, I remembered it all πŸ™‚

Here is my satchel πŸ™‚ I have altered it with no straps to close it, as I wanted to see more of the patterned paper pocket I had on the front of the bag, so it simply closes with a magnet and I added a bird embellishment tag and a cat button style sticker on the base. The irony.

Hope you like. Stay safe. x

Just love Clearly Besotted

Lock In is a good time at least to craft with no particular reason. Clearly Besotted has got to be one of my favourite companies in the world, they are a small UK based company, and ever since I made my way onto their website I was in heaven.

I recently ordered myself a few new goodies and when they arrived, I ran straight up to my craft room and started to play around. I wanted to try and start stencilling more, and when I saw they had a cloud stencil I thought it was a perfect excuse to start.

I also ordered many other stamp sets, but a personal favourite is Platypus At Play and Balloon Bunch Buddies, which are what I’ve used in the two cards below.

Perfect for a Male Card

Even though I hate making separate men and women categories, sometimes it is easier to just simplify things so here we go πŸ™‚

While in lock down, I have decided to practice practice and practice as many crafts as I can, yes I do now have bruised and cut hands and a massive headache, but needs must I suppose.

I have made this Shutter Fold card, I was looking at Pintrest which kills so much time its unbelievable, and this style of card caught my attention. I made my own measurements, as I wanted something a little bigger.

I cut the card stock down to a shutter fold and started cutting the matts and layers. I used my Gun Metal Mirror card from DoveCraft and my Kaisercraft Scrap Yard pad. I adore these papers. I need to find the rest of the collection. It also comes with some die cut pop out sentiments and images which I popped on the card too.

I am thinking about doing the step by step version of my cards, but for now here are my mats and layers and finally the finished card πŸ™‚

I adore it πŸ™‚ Hope you all do too.

Craft Haul

This was almost a month ago now, but I popped out amongst the panic and chaos, I decided it would be a good time to get my hands on some new crafty goodies, just in case we do all have to stay in or shops close. (Little did I it did.)

I bought the 8×8 Bloom and Wonder First Edition Paper Pad the other day, I thought I would pop back to The Range and see if they had the 12×12″ and luck was on my side and it was there and last one on the shelf πŸ™‚

Straight in the basket, but then I spotted the Free Spirit First Edition Paper Pad, bargain at only Β£9.99 so yes, it also fell into the basket.

So since I want to make some nice mothers day gifts to give to my mum and post to my Godmother, so I was on the look out for some nice bits and bobs, nice but not so pricey.

I spotted some 6×6″ paper pads by Craft Sensations, only Β£1 each so I picked up Summer Shores and Happy Colours. 100 pages for Β£2 bargain!!!

I then wanted some new twine and saw this nice pink and white one, yes Β£1 and yes 92m!!! WOW!!!

Then on the way back down, basket straining and bank account crying I saw what I assume is a new range by DoCrafts Papermania. On Safari, it has to be the sweetest and cutest paper range I have ever seen. I picked up the 6×6″ Paper Pad and the matching roll of Stickers, which I will use as toppers πŸ™‚

Cant wait to get crafting.

Charity Shop Haul (A long time ago)

Shopping for craft supplies can be quite expensive when you start adding it up. I do love my new crafting goodies, but sometimes a good mooch around a charity shop can be just as exciting, sometimes even more so. I love supporting charity in general and donate a lot of belongings and money throughout the year. I also love the fact that someone else’s trash can be your treasure, its also a great way of recycling.

Today my father and I decided we would take some donations over to the shop and treat ourselves to a wonder around. We would no doubt come back with more than we had dropped off. We definitely did!

So after a couple of blanks in some of our favourite charity shops, we decided to go to some smaller ones on the way home… And voila!!!

Hamper full of fabrics, can’t beat it. I found some beautiful tartan material, which is a lovely rich colour and extremely christmassy. I saw it and instantly thought Christmas stockings and sacks. Then there was some material that had a dainty Holly and Ivy print. Perfect for bits of home decor. Β£2.50!

Next was a good rummage around the little baskets of mixed bits and bobs, another win! Buttons, tacks, threads, knitting needles and sketching charcoals. I love searching through these baskets, as its like Aladdin’s cave in a basket. I love collecting buttons as they are useful in every craft project. I usually use mine for bunting, and as extra special embellishments on cards or bags. 40p.

Best purchase: 732 Pillar box red envelopes. (yes thats right we counted them) Last stop and we spotted a box of envelopes, and decided to haggle for the full box. They are a nice mix of C5, C6 and DL and perfect for the festive season. Β£7!!!

Hope you manage to find some bargains in your local ones.

Will also like to thank Sam at Mixed Up Crafts who inspired me to write posts about Charity Shop findings, after watching her youtube videos.

Spring Time

Finally after what feels like months of searching I have found First Editions Bloom and Wonder paper pad. I wanted to see it in person so I didn’t buy it at Craft Stash, and ended up finding it in The Range today. I even did a little squeal…

I am in love with this pad and I think I will get another copy of it…

I also picked up some more A4 Holographic card, as my kilo box I bought off Kanban is running very low. (little off cuts and slim bits remain)

Here is a card I have made as I couldn’t wait to not use some of it πŸ™‚

Celebrate
IMG_1935

I used a 6×6 kraft card blank, mat a piece of 5.75″ holographic card on top, and then layer on a 5.5″ piece from the Bloom and Wonder pad. I then cut a little piece on a slanted cut to add on top. I then fussy cut the peacock, from the Bloom and Wonder pad that comes with a handy sentiment and picture page. I matted the peacock onto a piece of matching holographic card and added it onto the card with foam pads and added a matching ribbon bow. I also added a ‘Celebrate’ which I cut from the Pad as well.

Hope you like it.
